This painting probably looks like anyone could do it, and you're kinda right...except it would take you years of dedication and commitment. This is my "Eternity Canvas," and it was created by wiping the excess paint off my palette knife as I created my paintings for years and years. Buried within its layers are hundreds and hundreds of stories. It's a textured roadmap of my history. One of the coolest things about this piece...I encourage people to touch it. Art typically isn't supposed to be touched, but I love providing a sensory experience where people can feel the energy in more ways than one 🎨

I already got the wood frame and based the dimensions on it.

Paper diorama often show a side view (like a forest with layers of plants and trees), but I wanted to try something else, something that looks like you see it from a hole in the ground.

(Fun fact: the wall mushrooms were suppped to be perfectly aligned to look like they were glowing. But you need to be perfectly positioned to see it. I’ll take note to make it easier to read next time.)

I quickly drew a digital sketch, then a clean version with each layer apart. Someone in my family helped me to cut it with a machine. I choosed among the colored papers we had. He also added the little lights for a better effect.

progress on my giant painting from yesterday. changed the green pool table to a more teal one to fit the color palette. I raised the walls higher in the back area to improve the proportions. the community center that I am painting is going to be shut down for a bit soon because theyre out of money. they need more donations to keep running, will miss it :(

wont be able to go there or work on my painting for a while until they reopen or i repossess my painting and get a ride to take it home, but then I would not be able to work from life the same way. so will need to take some good photographs. also it would be fucking massive in my house its the size of two teenagers.
