Haunting. Melancholic. I was searching for something, wasn’t I? I can barely remember anymore...
The mysteries of life are hidden in this short song. Unsurprising for something played by Rose.
8/10. My mind was opened.

You Died, Idiot, in retrospect, is remarkably uninteresting, but it is a fun little tune! The idea was simple: copy one of those old NES games where the game over theme is condescendingly cheery (Mega Man 2 and 3 come to mind). So, I did a chiptune cover of the victory theme at the end of Erik Scheele's Negastrife from memory. The only problem was that this was really short. So I tried adding onto it, moving Mark Hadley's Problem Sleuth theme into a major key, and then repeating the Negastrife cover. At this point I felt I was half-assing how dumb this idea was, so I went full hog and did the same thing with Devilhead Rising, which is probably otherwise the darkest song on the album.
