He tries to not let his emotion’s get the best of him especially when it comes to her, Y/n , every time he sees her he can’t help but feel some type of way for her and instead of handling it like a normal human being he is a complete jerk , always double checking her traps so she wont have to then commenting on about how it needs some tweaks.
Which gets on her nerves most if not all of the time explaining that she isn't incompetent and that she can work on the traps herself.
It was after she came back with Amanda after kidnapping another game victim, he saw her split lip and a bruise on her lower jaw, he knows some can get rowdy trying to fight back before slowly succumbing to the drug on the cloth.
“Couldn’t handle a bit of rough housing?"he said in a teasing tone although he does care and doesn't like that she had gotten hurt on one of their runs, he won’t show it especially in front of Amanda “ I heard a past game contestant left you a little winded John had to step in” Y/n replied with snark, Amanda smirking in the background obviously been having the one who told her earning her a glare from the man before she went off to find john to talk with him about the game.
Now leaving Y/n and Mark alone in the warehouse aside from the unconscious person they have yet to place in the trap.
