Midnight Snack
You sit on the counter quietly, waiting for the water to boil. The soft light above the sink spilling into the dark living room, illuminating it just slightly.
Staring down at your phone, unaware of his soft steps as he walked down the hallway. Gasps as his feet come into view, startling you just slightly.
“What are you doing?” He mumbles as peeks at the now steaming kettle
“Waiting for the kettle to finish...so I can make my ramen”
“Oh? And you didnt bother to ask if I wanted some?” He questions as his hands slip around your hips.
You laugh softly as you set your phone on the counter, sliding your hands up his arms to his shoulders.
“I didn’t want to bug you”
“You could never bug me” he mumbled as he pulled you off the counter top.
You smiled as you turned your back to him. His arms wrapping around your stomach as you opened the instand ramen bowls. His chin rest againsr your shoulder as he watched.
“Are you going to add cheese?” He asks as you pour in the boiling water.
“Maybe” you tease as you close the lids.
“Maybe!? Its not a Mark meal without cheese!” He exclaimed
“And mini sausages” you reminded him “Go get the stuff from the fridge”
“Yes!” He excitedly whispered as he slipped away from you and towards the fridge
You watch as he comes back, the excitement in his eyes as he helps you prep your meal. His lip trapped between his teeth as he watches you finish cooking.
“Two Mark meals” you mumbled as you hand him his bowl
“Thank youu” the words barely leaving his lips before he tore the lid off and stiring it.
You watch as he takes a bite, slightly groaning as he savored the taste. Giggling as he opened his mouth, his small ‘Haa haa’ escaping.
“Dont laugh at me” he mumbles as he chews.
You shake your head as you open your container, stiring in the cheese and sausages. Mark watches as you take a bite, the soft groan leaving your lips as you chew.
“Best. Midnight. Snack. Ever” you say as you chew.
“Why thank you, I created this you know”
“Shut up” you laugh as you take another bite. The both of you leaning against the counter.
