Last Friday WutBJU highlighted Erin McCauley Burchwell’s interview with Recovering from Religion. Have you listened yet?
In her interview she mentioned a document that she and her parents as well as their pastor Mark Minnick signed at a midnight meeting on February 14-15, 2000.
Ms. Burchwell posted the document on the WutBJU Facebook page, and with her permission I’m adding it to this archive for permanent access. The text reads:
On February 14-15, 2000, a meeting was held between the Bill McCauley family and the Billy Baughm, Sr. family in the Fireplace Room of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Greenville, South Carolina. The families mutually accepted a statement defining their points of agreement and disagreement. This statement was signed by both Bradley E. Baughm and Erin E. McCauley.
Both Brad and Erin gave apologies to those present. The families have agreed that the issues between them are over, and that they achieved a reconciliation that closes this matter forever. They have agreed that they will not discuss the matter any further with anyone other than those present at the meeting.
What other documentation does Ms. Burchwell have?
