Markeith Loyd, man accused of killing Orlando Police Lt. Debra Clayton in custody, police say
The man wanted in the fatal shootings of his pregnant ex-girlfriend and an Orlando police sergeant has been captured, authorities said Tuesday night.
Can someone tell me why a memorial for a cop who died in the line of duty was defaced? She was just doing her job and she was brutually murdered. Literally no media other than local Florida news has been keeping up with this and I'm so frustrated. Her life mattered, she was mom, a daughter, a wife, and a role model. She didn't even shoot, but instead her life was taken by a monster who as well killed her. Murdered his pregnant girlfriend and their baby. Who in their mind thought it would be okay to deface this police woman's car, when she was trying to bring this man to justice. People have no morals, if you don't agree with something be the bigger fuckibg person, not some pissy ass bitch. Whoever did that is an asshole, fuck you.

On Markeith Loyd
I didn’t want to say anything on the matter because I know this can be hard to understand. But, after listening to grown adults from various creeds and professions all cheer on his assault, I think it’s necessary. The story, as it’s been told, is that Markeith Loyd killed his pregnant ex-girlfriend and fled the scene. Some month or so afterwards, around 7am, Loyd was at a local Walmart by A Good Samaritan™. This person then went to alert the plain-clothesed officer Clayton, who was putting shopping bags in her trunk. Clayton went to apprehend him and exchanged fire. She was hit by Loyd as he fled. Backup arrived 28 seconds later, but Loyd was nowhere to be found. A week or so later, the police tracked his phone and traced it to a home not too far from where the incident occurred. Loyd came out with two handguns and a bullet proof vest, but dropped his guns when he saw that he was surrounded. So, and bear with me, because Loyd wasn’t apprehended for the death of his ex-girlfriend, we don’t actually know what happened. We do know, however, that killing someone isn’t, and shouldn’t, be against the law. There are plenty of scenarios in which the act of taking another person’s life should go unpunished. Murder is against the law, killing someone isn’t. We also know that the public (see: the police, jurors, most people in a given society) more frequently convicts black males of crimes, and punishes them more harshly for them. Because we don’t have ANY first-hand evidence pertaining to the death of his ex-girlfriend, there’s a lot a room to speculate. So instead of speculating that he killed his pregnant girlfriend in cold blood, I’m going to assume he did it in self defense. Still yet, what are the chances people would believe him? Or do you think he would’ve just been arrested sooner? So after he defends his life and realizes he’s got no chance among his peers, he goes into hiding. (We know he went into hiding because the police said his phone hadn’t been used for months, until this week when he was caught.) Then one morning, while he’s buying groceries, he’s confronted by a random person (see: a cop not wearing a uniform) pointing a gun at him. He wasn’t caught robbing that Walmart, he was caught trying to assimilate back into society very quietly. We don’t know the order of events because Clayton didn’t survive and we probably won’t here from Loyd for some time still. However, is it a stretch to suggest maybe Clayton shot first? That maybe the bullet hole in his t-shirt from that morning was hers? Her backup was there in 28 seconds. What kind of level-headed officer of the peace confront a Dangerous Criminal™ alone with backup literally less than 30 seconds behind her? Is it the same loose-cannon cop who’d shirt first, and ask questions after? Finally, I think it’s important to address his eventual capture. The news is perpetuating that he surrendered after he saw how many police there were. Why then, did they beat the living shit out of him? No speculation here folks. On live stream, CNN broadcasters justified his beating by police officer’s as “less than what some other people would’ve done”, that he hurt a lot of them. The police are saying that he sustained injuries while resisting arrest. So which the fuck is it? Did he surrender when he saw he was surrounded, or did he resist arrest? Because I highly doubt he put his guns down because he thought he had a better chance hand-to-hand. I’m not defending him because I don’t actually think he killed her in self defense. I’m not even defending him because I don’t know. I’m defending the unquestionable authority people give to Omniscient Police Officers™. I want you to ask yourself, when are police beating unjustified? Can they beat you for animal abuse? What about child Abuse? Tax evasion? Speeding? Smoking weed? We are presumed innocent in this country. That means if an officer takes it upon himself to administer justice before the person has been convicted in a jury of his peers, he’s just beating the shit out of someone you disagree with.
P.S If it was you Loyd had shot and killed it wouldn’t have even made headlines. And he wouldn’t have shot you because you don’t brazenly assault people and discharge your gun in a crowded public place.
