I really like your content, so I would like to ask: how you fell about mating? cause for me sometimes I don't like it, the idea of a person(in this case an omega) being attached with someone for life, even when they don't like each other give me goosebumps. Like, the mate has to be something so extreme in the point of they can't be with other people(in a sexual and unsexual way)? Or can be something that fades with time? Can a ABO exist without mating? And if so, would it be still an omegaverse? It's a lot of questions, sorry lol, but I would like to know your thoughts, thanks for the attention ❤

What do I think? Well I like claim bites. I think they're hot and also a good narrative resource. Their permanence is too, to me, a narrative resource. So depending on what kind of fic/comic you're writting it makes more sense to incorporate them whether they be permanent, semi-permanent or as permanent as those tattoos you get in cheap bubblegum lol.
In my own verse they're semi-permanent. They're not taken lightly because they change one's body and mind for a significant period of time, but they can be "overwritten" and even fade completely with time. So people are attached to each other for a long time, but not forever, which allows them to seek for another mate or ever remain mateless later in life if they so wish.
If you're interested I recommend you read this post I have on unwilling claim marks. As well as maybe read the fic I mentioned there called Dirty Little Secret (just click for the link). Tho be cautious with the fic, read the tags in the work because, it's like, dead dove-ish. It may have things you yourself are not comfortable reading. But it IS a fic that tackles unwilling marking and its effects in a cool way. So if you want to, check it out.
And to answer your final question. Yes, you can take away the claim/marking element out of A/B/O and it would still be A/B/O. It's your verse you can do whatever you want with it. See it as play-doh you can squash and shape it as much as you want and into different things. Don't think you need to have the things you dislike in it for the sake of the title.
