oh i really want to say my dog, because she’s so pretty and individual! but it would probably be the barista at the coffee place i go to when i get my hair cut, who does herself up like rosie the riveter everyday and has the nicest smile and found some of their rose ice tea for me last time i was there even though it’s not on the menu anymore. or it’d be the boy in paris, who had cheekbones from a donna tartt novel and was unfailingly kind and had hands that danced all over me and the wickedest twist to his smile. i miss him.

homer: what is your favourite movie

the brothers bloom. i love it for how silly and how charming it is, for how old worldly it is, and for one of the most true cinematic depictions of just how much older siblings can love their younger siblings (and how annoying oldest siblings are) and for the best character ever, Bang Bang.

tiberius: what is your ideal party?

some sort of decadent glitter themed nonsense in a museum, where i’ve invited everyone i know and everyone i want to know, and there’s a ridiculous amount of free alcohol and the music is at just the right volume so that you can have a conversation but you can have a dance and no one is going to notice when colin morgan and i slip off to what is probably my office to have a quiet snog. it goes until five in the morning. i don’t have to clean up after it.

Odysseus: Where have you felt most at home in your life?

Weeeeeh.  Well it’s actually not hard for me to feel at home places, if that makes sense?  So beyond my actual house where my family lives, idk, I felt really at home in Germany once I figured everything out (and despite some of the issues I had, which were more the fault of the program I was in and not at all a reflection of the country itself, which is beautiful and I 10/10 recommend going).  I can see myself living there.  But I also love western Canada and England (I’ve been there several times) so... lots of places, really, so long as people I like are there.

Homer: What is your favourite movie?

Oh nooooo.  Oh no.  Too many to name.  I love The Mummy but I also love a bunch of the old Scooby-Doo movies and a bunch of DreamWorks movies (like The Prince of Egypt and Joseph: King of Dreams) and, of course, an obligatory mention goes to Odysseus and the Isle of Mists because wow, what a masterful piece of cinematography.

Do it! I mean I’m obviously biased :D but don’t worry too much about where you’re coming from. I’d guess the toughest thing when learning any Slavic language would be the cases, but don’t let that scare you. And when people will try to impress you how hard the languages they are learning are, you can just say you’re learning a language that uses dual! No language does that! You’ll be the boss!
