Rumor has it that half the student body has seen Marlene McKinnon naked
That would make sense, considering half the student body is male. And we all know Marlene isn’t exactly discriminatory…

"Do I even matter to you?!" (To make it 10000x worse: Marlene finding out he's a werewolf)
Remus flinched as if he’d been slapped, eyes sharp with anger. They’d quarreled in the past, but never like this; never with flaring tempers and cutting tongues, never glaring daggers towards each other across the bare, rough table of a safehouse. ( Oh, but this was all his fault. If he hadn’t believed that a monster was deserving of a woman so wonderful as Marlene, if he hadn’t deluded himself into thinking that their semblance of happiness could last, if he hadn’t been so selfish – perhaps he could be sitting across the table from her in companionable silence, wondering and aching but not losing. )
“Do you matter to me?” Remus stared at her, aghast, the self-loathing pressing against his ribcage threatening to suffocate him. “Of course you do, Marlene! You mean the world to –”
“Then act like it, Remus,” she snapped, fixing him with a vexed glare. “I’m sick and tired of you saying this every time. You come back from Order missions – might I add that you don’t even tell me what or when and just bloody disappear for weeks at a time – and spout all this noble rubbish about how you’re not good enough.”
A loud clatter interrupted her string of words as Remus stood up abruptly, chair falling onto the ground behind him. A desperate laugh fell from his lips as he raked a hand through his hair, face truly honest for once. It was tired, weary, haunted.
“Because I’m not!” he paced the floor, nearly wild with a flood of emotions. His voice was raw, rising in tempo and volume with every sentence. “I can’t lose you, Marlene. I can’t give you the life you deserve, and it’s too dangerous.”
“I can handle danger, thank you very much!”
“That’s not the point! Merlin, you’ve got to trust me, I’m too poor and selfish and I love you but I can’t do this anymore because –”
Marlene whirled around, blazing. “BECAUSE WHY, REMUS?”
“BECAUSE I’M A BLOODY WEREWOLF!”
And all of a sudden, a suffocating silence filled the room, empty and cold and exhausted. Remus let out a haggard sigh. He couldn’t bring himself to look at her face and see the disgust or fear in her eyes, the loathing that permeated his entire life and had now undoubtedly infected her as well. If he did, Remus knew the little composure he’d retained would crumble.
“I’m a werewolf.” It was nearly unintelligible, a broken whisper leaving his lips.
A beat of silence, then: “Remus –”
“I’ve got to go,” he said abruptly, grabbing his coat from the chair, not heeding the burning in his lungs or the sharp pain in his chest. He had to break her heart to save her, but in the end Remus knew the one who was truly breaking was himself.
❤ (we don't talk about it tho)
❤ = kissing them .
“Gryffindor, Gryffindor, hearus mighty lions ROAR!”
Loud chanting eclipsed allother noises, a raucous din of laughter and triumphant cheering from the giddythrong that filled the crowded common room. In spite of himself, Remus foundhimself yelling the chant himself, high on the spirit of a thunderous quidditchvictory and slightly tipsy off of the bottle of amber firewhiskey that Siriushad unceremoniously shoved into his hands several minutes prior.
Remus moved to take another swig from his bottle, when he feltsomeone grab his shoulder. The offender was a very giddy and very, very drunkMarlene, whose hand had somehow found its way to the side of his neck. Althoughhe had to yell over the crowd, Remus managed to get out a compliment.
“Marlene! You did a good–”
Or, well, half of one.
Before he could finish, her lipswere on his – warm and demanding – and for a second Remus was shocked intostillness, eyes wide and thoughts whirring at a hundred miles an hour.
He, Remus Lupin, was snogging his friend, Marlene McKinnon.
Then all at once, he began to panic – luckily, he managed to grabon to her waist before he fell over. He didn’t do things like this, and in all honesty, he had no idea what on earth he was doing. Remus was flushing wildly when she pulledaway, thoroughly embarrassed with a look of confusion on his face. “Er,” hestuttered eloquently. “Wrong Marauder.”
And with that, Remus spun heraround and pushed her towards Sirius, desperately ignoring the comicallyoffended look on Marlene’s face as she drunkenly staggered over to an equallydrunk Padfoot.
Merlin. He wiped his mouth on the back of his hand. As far as first kisses go, at least I’ll have a good story to tell.
