oliver who cannot stand being in the same room with douglas. oliver with complex feelings surrounding douglas and his role regarding the elite force. oliver with complex nuanced feelings surrounding the elite force in general. oliver who sees his mother in douglas. oliver who understands that douglas has stopped being evil but cannot let go of the harm that he caused despite never being affected by it. oliver who already feels out of place in the elite force being followed by the shadows of his mother haunting him through douglas. through the past actions of a man clawing so desperately for a family despite never seeing his children as real people. through the actions of a man who has since turned a new leaf and gets along with the children he wronged. oliver who wonders what might have become of his mother without his existence. oliver who wonders why he was the justification for all his mother's plans and yet wasn't enough for her to change. oliver who wonders what's become of mr. terror after her capture.

(my version) Even without it being a ship (it's not in my rewrite), oliver is legitimately the only person who would even consider giving marcus a chance at redemption (except for MAYBE tasha)

chase and bree would never trust him again. adam is not nearly as naive or trusting anymore (he actually fulfilled his growing up arc in my series) douglas would melt him down instantaneously (and have a crisis later) and leo has always hated that mf lol

kaz would take what marcus did extremely personally because of how protective he is of his friends. skylar, while being disallowed murdering on earth by the hero council would be fine with executing marcus on the spot (since that's what they did on caldera)

tasha COULD maybe feel some form of sadness for marcus. she's a mother at heart, and a mother to kids who were incredibly lost before she came into their lives. but her actual kids matter more to her than any empathy she could have for marcus and marcus has tried to hurt and kill them too many times for her to forgive

oliver is a more logical thinker than kaz or skylar. and he has a lot of empathy too. I feel like if he spoke to marcus he could build a rapport and a sense of care or pity. whether or not marcus is just manipulating him lol

oh also daniel would probably forgive marcus too lwk

This is my first post here, but I’ve been working on a Lab Rats/ Mighty Med/ Lab Rats Elite Force fanfiction and it is a bbc merlin Au. It includes #chaz #bryler and #marliver. I swear I’ve never written so many words in my life and they really aren’t stopping. I’m close to 20000 words and no where near done with the story. It’s a medieval fantasy, it has magic, drama. it loosely (I don’t know what is considered loosely) follows the story of bbc merlin with a twist. I’m genuinely pretty proud of it. I don’t know if I should post it to ao3, but I’m thinking about it. I wanted to get the word out there. If any one has any questions please let me know. This story has so many characters oh my. It has characters from all the shows. It’s gay.

So I discovered Marliver and…

Marcus and Oliver are also just a really fascinating duo (romantic or not). When you think about it. Like Marcus was created to be evil and in such au's would end up good. Whereas Oliver is introduced as good and always tried to be but was told he was destined to be evil and one must wonder if that haunts him, especially once he found out his mom is a villain.

Marcus has a father who was evil with little regard for him. He would quickly sacrifice Marcus to control the world. Whereas Oliver had a mom who was evil entirely in regard to him. She wanted to control the world to keep Oliver safe.

Evil is ingrained in Marcus' programming and evil runs through Oliver's blood.

One was well aware of this from the start the other had to grapple with that realization later in life
