It’s #MarmotMonday!
Hoary Marmots will spend anywhere from 7 to 9 months of the year hibernating. With the short summer season, they spend much of their day eating to gain back necessary body fat. Marmots are predominantly herbivores and devote their time to munching on plants and flowers in the meadow.
Although marmots are allowed in the meadows, visitors are not! Remember to protect the plants by remaining on maintained trails and paved areas at all times.
