“Emotions bled from those simple acknowledgments, from our fingers biting into each other’s skin. Even though there was only silence in the room, words were being shared between us, ones that I’d never felt so loudly before.”

2019 Reading Recap & Top 10 Favorites
2019 reading recap - Ok, so this has taken me way longer than expected to pull together. I read A LOT last year, and I don't regret a single minute of it.
I'm so happy with the community that I've been introduced to because of reading romance novels. I couldn't have imagined that when I picked up a book again in 2018 because my husband was on nightshift and I couldn't sleep that it would have brought me to where I am today. I love this community so much. Hugs to all the new "friends" I have because of it.
2019 stats:
301 books total
- 88 audios (30 are from the @readmeromance podcast)
- 31 ARCs
- 44 novels
- 138 novellas
I kept a list of my "top reads" on Goodreads, so picking my favorite 10 from the list of over 50 books was incredibly difficult. BUT, these books are the ones that I CANNOT stop thinking about. They are the first ones I tell people about when they ask for recommendations. I guess you could consider them my 6 star reads!

We were two broken souls that had found each other amidst a palette of bold, beautiful hues. But our filling wasn’t made of those colors, we didn’t live among those stains and we didn’t follow their patterns. Our reflection was made of scandalous secrets and dark, dusty shadows that recoiled when we hit the light. Not just any shadows or secrets, but seductive ones.
