Self Publishing Review just reviewed my book and omg I cannot even process how flattering it is. I was saying to my roommate just the other night that if I had the ratio of hits:comments on a fic as I do purchases:reviews on my book I'd be fucking ecstatic, I've been so lucky with how well it's been received. But this is like, an actual professional review on a site that certainly doesn't give every book a 5 star!
Like holy shit, I didn't know I was a irrefutably savage writer! I literally couldn't have asked for a more lovely review and it means so much to get this kind of recognition from a professional reviewer.
And good news! My ebook is free on my website, Kobo and possibly other places until the 21st of December!
Ratings/reviews always always appreciated, you have no idea how helpful they are!

Never would have thought my fanfiction-reading ass would recommend a book y'all it's THAT good. Pls read 🙏
I’ve been reading The Knowledge Economy And Socialism: Science And Society In Cuba by Agustín Lage Dávila. And it’s blowing my mind with how good it is.
When I bought the book I was curious to see what it would be like, but I was still apprehensive that it would be dry, uninteresting, and hard to read. It’s nothing of the sort! It’s surprisingly accessible and interesting. The author keeps a Marxist analysis at the center of their book and it touches all sorts of topics related to the development of modern science, and why socialism is superior in terms of developing science (and consequently the productive forces).
Some assorted screenshots I took.
(EDIT: my partner uses the word “screenshot” so often I’ve subconsciously stopped referring to pictures as pictures and just call them screenshots now lol)
Book Review: Golem Crafters by Emi Watanabe Cohen
MLA Citation: Cohen, Emi. Golem Crafters. Levine Querido, 2024.
Recommended Reader Group: Middle and high school. Discussion of heavy topics that may be a bit much for younger kids.
Synopsis: Faye Meisel is a Jewish-Japanese girl whose only real friend is her older brother, Shiloh. Shiloh has just turned thirteen and had his bar mitzvah when he gets a gift in the mail from his Jewish grandfather: a lump of clay. Grandpa, or Zeyde, Judah wants to induct his grandchildren into the family tradition of making golems, and despite their dad's initial protests, the two end up spending Pesach with Zeyde to get a jump start on their education. They learn the lore of golems, their family history, and discover a new world in their dreams that they hope to save with their newfound skills. But things don't go exactly to plan.
