If anyone was also very disappointed to see an AI generated poster for the Repo! Rerelease Darren confirmed it was not his doing. I think we can thank Lionsgate for that bullshit.

i love repo because I love the conservation of character. There are literally eight characters (shilo, Nathan, mag, graverobber, amber, Luigi, pavi, and rotti) and they are literally all connected. Amber is gracerobber's lay/dealee, graverobber is shilos friend and also the narrator, shilo is Nathan's daughter and rottis protege, Nathan and rotti fought over the same woman, marni, who was mags best friend, Nathan is head repo man of rottis corporation, over which pavi and Luigi are fighting, their sister amber has a one-sided hatred of mag, who happens to be shilos godmother, etc etc. it's a pretty standard 8 character structure but I just love the execution of it in repo. There are no loose threads, no characters left hanging. I just think it's neat 😊

I keep reading those “Marni was the REAL villain of Repo” posts thinking I’m gonna get some interesting lore or something, but no EVERY TIME it’s just misogynistic fanfic that came to them in a dream

as a trans person, i love repo! the genetic opera SO much. i relate to nathan in a weirdly superficial way because i, too, feel as though i murdered the mother of my child(or in my case children) and am now left to raise them on my own, while pushing away everyone i was ever close to. except i am also marni, the dead woman. maybe i make my own metaphors too much but it just feels so personal to me
