The barn is getting slowly cleaned out. It's where @echomary makes their metal art, and until recently we've referred to their corner of the barn as the "welding nook", but now it's looking more like a proper workshop. Sweeping hay and rodent turds, throwing away the remnants of our commercial mushroom growing attempt years ago, and reorganizing things has transformed the chaos into something actually walk-able. I haven't seen the barn this empty since we moved in!

Still progress to be made, but it's finally entering the stage of its life I always wanted for it. As soon as we toured the property, I thought, "This would make a fantastic shop or studio." So after the barn's stints with storage for a terrible landmate addicted to buying crap he never used, hay storage, and mushroom growing, it's finally the thing I wanted it to be!! Things take a long time sometimes, but I'm glad to see it transform.

peopl are really not ready to deal with the mentally ill with care and respect leik obviously mental illness isnt a free pass to be nasty but the thing is that people see manifestations of mental illness as a moral failing on the individual's part leik something they're doing on purpose because theyre bad people as opposed to symptoms that are hard to hide or control. it really just comes to show that people dont see mental illness as an actual illness that can disable you but as a quirk people happen to have and can just discard when it comes to interpersonal relationships

banana slugs i saw at work yesterday🌲🌲 also this weather is extremely silent hill vibes.. on my walk to work i was thinking about an x files episode that could be set in the park i was at.. maybe an entity or creature lurking in the woods and stealing objects or something! idk not much happening in my brain tbh- just imagining a little here and there..
