do you have any serquel s5 theories im desperate 🥺
Hey anon,
I do have a few ideas for Part 5. This might be a long post…if you’re not interested in reading it, skip along.
[spoilers ahead]
Firstly there’s the “Nairobi baby thing” - I believe the whole dishonesty of it might drive a wedge between them. We will definitely get a confrontation about it. And there will be a discussion of whether or not they want kids.
Also, you have to remember that this a traumatized woman… Her ex-husband was an amazing guy at first too. Then he began to raise his voice to her, then his hand…
And Alicia has already planted the little seed of doubt and distrust when she asked Raquel if there had ever been a moment where Sergio had somehow mistreated her and Raquel remembered when he said those awful things to her.
We know Sergio would never hurt her like, and deep down, she knows it too.
But she has a right to distrust… with everything that’s happened to her.
And allied with this recent dishonesty about a very serious subject like a baby… It’ll be explosive.
After all, this woman gave up everything she worked for.
Her career, gone. Her friends, gone. Her sister, gone. Her freedom, gone. Her home, gone. She can never go back.
For the love of this man, she risked everything. And then he shouts and tells her he beat her at the game, then she finds out he was going to have a baby with someone else without telling her… All these things add up and confuse her.
She’s made herself completely vulnerable to him. And now, with the arguments and distrust and the lie, she might start to reconsidering her choice. ಥ_ಥ
Raquel has put herself in his hands, completely under his control.
If he turned out to be anything like her abusive bastard of an ex… he would now have full control over the location and safety of Raquel’s mother and daughter. She’d be his prisoner. And she put herself there…
In our Marquillo hearts, it’s sweet that Sergio takes care of his new family, but for a victim of domestic violence, this kind of thoughts inevitably pop up…
She loves Sergio, but her heart will never fully mend from the abuse she suffered… The fear of being betrayed, fooled, hurt, deceived again… is always there in the back of her mind.

Then, there’s Alicia - I think Alicia will team up with the gang but only temporarily. She’ll eventually double cross them and want to get back into the Police’s good graces by turning the gang in.
Also, I think she’s going to give birth next season, but she won’t want the baby.
She clearly doesn’t care about it… she’s very far along and keeps smoking and keeps being a complete workaholic (a very difficult and pressuring job)…
She hasn’t even bothered to find out the baby’s gender - now, that’s not exactly an indicative clue of not caring in most cases. Plenty of parents choose to not know until birth or simply let their child be and let them figure it out for themselves… but that is not the case here.
Alicia simply doesn’t care! She’s not mother material.
She was going to be raising the baby with her husband (or, much more likely, letting the dad raise the kid on his own while she dives back head first into work and completely ignores the her own child). Hell, she probably only agreed to get pregnant and have a baby for her husband, to appease him in some way.
But then… Then, her husband died suddenly when she was already pregnant - and at a stage where you absolutely cannot have an abortion. What’s she supposed to do now? She can’t raise the kid on her own… So, for the remainder of the pregnancy, she just pretends everything is fine and ignores the very impending birth and child. But, when the time comes, and there’s a very real human newborn baby on her arms, peeing and pooping itself and crying constantly… She’s going to break.
My point is, she’s going to leave the baby… and Sergio and Raquel are going to keep it.
It certainly would tie nicely with the baby argument and the eventual discussion of whether or not they want kids. Even if they don’t have biological kids of their own (which I still want btw), they’ll have this baby.
