Married Stydia

They’ve had one kid and they’re pregnant with their twins and they’re so tired all the time and they’re so…used to each other. Not in a bad way, but they hardly ever surprise each other anymore, they’ve been together since their senior year in high school and they’re about to have three kids, what could they not know? And Stiles has been noticing how routine everything is, and he kind of hates it. He loves his life, and his daughter more than anything in this world, and he wouldn’t trade it for anything, but he wants to get some of that honeymoon stage magic back into their lives. So one night after Claudia is asleep he walks down to the kitchen and sees Lydia tapping a dry erase marker against her chin as she strategizes their schedule for the coming week and he just smiles fondly. He quickly pulls up a song on his phone and puts in the iHome (????? the speaker thing????) and winds his arms around lydia’s waist and presses his nose against her hair. She sighs and leans back into him. He turns her around as “Thinking Out Loud” starts playing and starts moving them slowly in a circle in front of their fridge and humming the tune into her ear. Of course he makes a few comments when certain lyrics pop up “oh baby i will be loving you til we’re seventy” “way longer than that Lyds, forever” and stuff like that. And Lydia is so goddamned shocked that he was able to pull this off, because he was on baby duty last night (Claudia has had a cold for like three days and its misery and shes up all night and they both kind of want to die) and he looks dead tired but he’s so good to her and she just can’t believe she gets this life with him and he’s hers. And she settles with her forehead pressed against his shoulder, not before pressing a light kiss against his cheek and whispering how much she loves him, and they stay like that for a while, even after the song ends. They just love each other so much.
