Pixel2017 – Episode 41 – Bone Storm! The word for the day was Storm - after I brainstormed (heh) through a few ideas, including depicting someone literally cooking up a storm in a pot, I decided to go for another kind of storm, one that could come up as an euphemism - Baron Marrowgar's Bone Stooooooorm from World of Warcraft. Of course, the real one is much longer (heh), but this will do.

Help, help the fire is chasing me!

Sometimes I miss being a raid leader, and then I remember people like the priest in the fire. And then I think "gosh it's nice not being in charge!" The first week ICC was out, we go in on our normal 25 man night and I explain Marrowgar. I expressly explain: "Fire, bad. Fire burns. Standing in fire kills you. Fire travels slowly. Fire travels in straight line unless he's bone storming. Fire travels in straight line from boss to wall."  We pull him once, one of the raiders whispers me and goes. "I don't understand, The fire came for me, so I ran for the wall. But it chased me! And so I stood there against the wall, and it kept chasing me, so I died! I think the boss is broken." So I sigh, I re-explain the fight assuming that not everyone understand fire traveling from the boss to the wall means, from the boss to the wall, we try it again. Boss dies! Yay! Fast forward to the next week. Same person is there. This time, things don't go so good. And I notice, the person is dying in fire again, and again, and again. Seriously we wiped for two hours on something that we two shot the week before, wtf? Granted, one person doesn't make a raid, but I mean, come on, you were here last week!! So I whisper the person and she replys... "Yeah, I think the boss is broken again, I keep running to the wall to avoid the fire, but it keeps chasing me, and even when I stand by the wall, it follows me, and so I wait for it to go away so I can run back in but I always die. "

No matter how many god damn times I explained it, that priest died in the fire, and usually shouted into vent "Help, help, the fire is chasing me, I need heals!"
