Instructions: Mix the gelatin with half a cup of cold water in a mixing bowl. Give it ten minutes to bloom. Combine the corn syrup and granulated sugar in a saucepan. Using a candy thermometer, heat over medium-high heat until it reaches 240F 115C. Gently stir in the hot sugar syrup while continuing to whisk at a low speed into the gelatin mixture. Once the mixture gets thick and fluffy, turn the speed up to high and keep whisking for another ten to fifteen minutes. Stir in vanilla extract and stir until well combined. Separate the blend into a pair of bowls. To create the snowman's mouth and eyes, add black food coloring to one bowl and orange food coloring to the other. Preheat a 9 x 13-inch baking pan that has been lined with parchment paper and sprinkled with a cornstarch and powdered sugar mixture. Using a spatula, evenly spread the white marshmallow mixture after pouring it into the pan. Over the white layer, draw snowman faces using the colored marshmallow mixtures. To shape the features, use a toothpick or skewer. Give the marshmallows four hours or overnight to set. After they're set, shape the marshmallows into snowmen using cookie cutters. To keep it from sticking, dust with additional powdered sugar and cornstarch mixture. You can now enjoy your marshmallow snowmen! These can be used as a festive treat or added to hot cocoa.
