Send me a “Kiss” and I’ll write a drabble about their first kiss
Even a person like Mahad was able to love. This was athing he didn’t know of himself until he had seen her. Before she had been there, Mahad had only assisted Vittel withthe business, hoping that Ja’far and rest were doing fine. It was then thatSinbad came back, bringing two new people to the company. One was a knight, theother a woman. That same evening he had been able to “talk” with her. Still itdepended on how much could be seen as talking when it came from him. He was sure he hadn’t left an impression onher, she could talk to anyone at the company. And that was a thing she alwaysdid.
His first encounters with love were through Mystras. As a matchmaker between him and the young girl from Immchak he got to know whatfeelings meant and at that same time realized his own. However, that didn’tmean he could tell it to her. She was special, she was different, she was agoddess. He would never be able to reach her. And because of that, he onlylooked at her during work. She would still go back to Artemyra for business andwhen the news of an own country came around, she was barely seen at the companyanymore. He wanted to say that it was fine that way, that he was busy enoughwith his own work to forget about her. However, he couldn’t say so. He wouldfind himself walking around the company, hoping that one time he’d see her longblond hair disappearing around a corner again. But any time he saw long blond hair,it wasn’t her. After a while, Vittel had told him to give up on it. She wouldn’tcome back until the next few weeks and they couldn’t have people run out of thecompany because they were scared by an ex-assassin. He didn’t want to give up,but the next time he wandered around the company it was at night, when he knewno one could see him.
After those weeks, it had become a habit to walkaround at night. Those who found out didn’t bother him about it. At night hewouldn’t scare customers away, those who worked at the company knew the manwouldn’t hurt a fly. Like this he felt time fly by, forgetting why he startedto wander here in the first place. Except for one night when it all came backto him.
The moon illuminated the small courtyard of thecompany, engulfing the plants and fountain in a soft light. It was always theend stop of Mahad’s walk around the company, looking up at the moon and hopingthat she’d see it at the same time. That certain night, an angel was waitingfor him in the moonlight, looking into the soft ,white light. Her long blondhair moved with the soft night breeze. Mahad didn’t want to move, he didn’twant to disturb her while she was so beautiful.
“I thought no one would be awake this late…” She saidsoftly, making Mahad feel his heart stop. When she turned around, her darkpurple eyes looked into the darkness, immediately spotting him. He didn’t wanther to leave from the moonlight, she was so beautiful in it. So to prevent thatfrom happening, he slowly stepped out of his hiding place. At the sight of him,she smiled and came closer.
“I thought it was you. Still not a man of many words, are you?” She laughed and placed a hand on his arm. ”Tell me, what is a manlike you doing up so late? I thought if I came back now, I’d greet everyone inthe morning.” Of course Mahad didn’t answer with words, instead he looked ather as he felt a blush forming on his face. But that meant enough to her.
“Aren’t you adorable…” She laughed a pulled at hisarm, making him bend forward. In that short time, she was on her toes andplaced a quick kiss on his lips. Before Mahad could understand what hadhappened, she had left the moonlight and walked back inside.
“I will see you tomorrow then. Goodnight… Mahad” Shesmiled before her hair was out of his sight again. This time he knew he wouldsee the same scene again the following day. But he was sure he wouldn’t besleeping tonight. Not now that an angel had visited him.
