Flotsam - Marske Beach
This large section of a ship’s hull was found washed ashore on Marske beach after storm Babet. The source of the timbers is unknown, there are at least 23 historic wrecks is this area and an unknown number that date to before the mid 18th century. The press have speculated that the timbers are part of the wreck of The Esk, a 350 ton whaler from Whitby that was lost ,with 23 of her crew, off…
