Yeah but srsly my culture is one of my main lead inspirations man. It just has this beautiful beautiful richness to it that the more you delve in, the more fascinated you get. Feeling lucky to have been born and brought up in such an amazing culture <33

4th kyu test done! Despite my annoying asthmatic cough, lack of sleep and another typhoon closing in and bringing already buckets of water on our heads, I think I could deliver a solid test, from what my sempai told me. Let's wait for the verdict, though! Many people were taking their test today. Two good friends were doing their 2 dan. With the high temperatures and impossible humidity, they were swimming in their keidogi at the end! Just sitting and watching had me ending up in a pool... お疲れ様でした♪(*^^)o∀*∀o(^^*)♪

“New Legend of Shaolin” is a Jet Li film that often falls under the radar of most people. Weirdly, it’s a Chinese remake (or semi-remake) of the Lone Wolf and Cub series that features Jet fighting alongside his kid. It’s also surprisingly violent for a Jet Li film, sometimes dipping into uber violence albeit through a filter of silliness. It nice to see Jet Li primarily using a weapon, too. In this film, he mostly fights with a spear that can vary in length. Often, it elongates to insane size...much like my downstairs department. It was released in the US (and possibly the UK) as “Legend of the Red Dragon” and should be available for dirt cheap.
