Monster’s University was great tho! I know it’s a prequel but it’s a good follow up
Monsters University was fun and all, and it’s got some great jokes, but it...didn’t really go anywhere. There’s a lot of wasted potential there, which I think is best exemplified by the fact that when the trailers came out there was a tumblr post about the cute, innocent, glasses-clad version of randall, with a comment along the lines of “it’s going to be really interesting to see how he falls so far”. whereas in the actual film it’s basically just mike saying “your whole schtick would work better without the glasses”. it’s a mike character moment, actually.
