I like that Martyn and Cleo are kinda linked through their gods. Pan, god of the Wild, and Artemis, goddess of the Hunt. Some stories recount Pan having given Artemis her hunting dogs, and though their relationship is considered somewhat tense (mostly due to their differences regarding lust/maidenhood), both of their domains are decidedly that which is Wild and Untouched.

There is a clash at first, a Test. Where do your tempers lay? What do you claim as Yours, and does it include what I claim as Mine?

Then, understanding. You are a cornered animal. So am I. We weren’t given claws, so our horns and our tusks will have to do. If you defend that which is Mine, I will defend that which is Yours. We can only defend ourselves from what is in front of us, so if you watch my back and I watch yours, neither of us will ever be defenceless.
