i think my big takeaway from this episode is actually remus related. i find it so insanely fascinating the fact that they reacted so negatively to even the suggestion of thomas having sexual feelings. janus literally trying to shut him up?
to some degree, the reason thomas struggles to be open with his sexuality IS the fact that he feels some shame about sexual feelings, placing them on the same taboo as the much darker ones.
in order TO accept himself fully, thomas will at some point have to accept remus as he is. the repression of sexual feelings is incredibly interesting to me. remus' appearance SHOWS the shame and guilt that thomas, and subsequently, the rest of the sides feel about sexuality.
