I stopped sharing family posts on this page but decided to share this one. It’s been a tough year with the loss of my brother and BFF but one of the hardest moments of my entire life was watching my daughter suffer a seizure that left half her body immobile. January 14th was the fateful day. We’ve been fighting ever since to figure out why and get her back and better. She decided to start her new Instagram page and series where she shares her journey via her piano. One month ago she couldn’t sit for more than five minutes, a woman that could play endlessly for three hours and more at a piano. She’s getting better and this piano is her motivation. The Piano is another story altogether. She received it as a gift from a stranger the day she was released from the hospital. It was delivered the following day. The former owner wanted to gift it to someone that would use and appreciate it for The Piano belonged to her daughter who passed seven years ago. I don’t think she realized this piano would be the motivator for Maddy every morning. She gets dressed every day like she’s putting on a concert and hits those keys through nerve pain, numbness and headaches. The Piano was more than a gift. It was life saving. Here’s Maddy playing “Song without Words” No. 19 by Mendelssohn. Remember that all things are possible with faith, prayer and the gift of a stranger.
