No Second Chances- Prt 1
-He was running. Fast than he had ever ran before. Not away from something, but towards something. Something he had to change, he had too. The forest was covered in a morning due making him slip and fall every so often but he was close, so very close. He quickened his pace for the last leg of the journey. He reached the opening in the forest were they were meant to meet, and sure enough, there he was. Marvel stood there grinning at him. "You sure ran fast didn't you?" The dark haired boy chuckled, making him frown. "Of course I did, I needed to speak to you." Marvel made his way over, frowning as he caressed his cheek which had tear rolling down it. "I needed to say I-" his words cut off as marvels face went pale, a trickle of blood running down the side of his mouth. Not now, please not now. The boy looked down and a silver arrow had appeared in his chest. District ones male had just looked back up at him when his knees gave way. He caught the boy as he fell, caressing his cheek. "I'm sorry marv", he sobbed "I'm so sorry, I should have never lost it, I should've never..." He leaned their foreheads together as he cried. The lights around them were fading, when marvels last words echoed through his head, and they were anything but comforting. "No second chances..."- Cato awoke as he cried out, he was covered in a layer of cold sweat and was shaking badly. He Had the same nightmare Every night since the death of his beloved boyfriend, Marvel of district one. He wrapped his arms around himself as he lay back down in the tent that once sheltered 3 of the bravest people he ever knew. "Now it shelters the biggest coward in hunger games history" cato muttered to himself as the first tear rolled down his cheek. How could he have let clove treat marvel like that? Screaming at him that it was his fault the supplies got blown up and then worst of all cato himself, in a blind rage, believing her and, after an awful screaming match, sending him from them which then lead to his death. He let out a soft sob as he healed marvels token, a small diamond locket which held a picture of the both of them inside, tightly inside his fist as Marvels last words rang through his head. "I wish I had never met you! Then it would be so much easier to have just killed you when I could!" Cato sniffed, wiping his cheeks with his free hand. Those words stung, more than any tracker jacker sting. But he hung onto the belief that he hadn't meant it, even though his dreams really weren't helping. Through the tent he could see the sky starting to lighten and let out a tired sigh. Just three of them left, and he knew he had no idea now how this would end.
