The meeting comes after Guam Governor Eddie Calvo met with CNMI Governor Ralph Torres on December 18, where an MOU was signed to set up a forum to address areas of mutual concern and benefit to Guam and the CNMI. Today, HSA George Charfauros and HSA Gerald De Leon Guerrero discussed various issues such as Ballistic Missile Defense notification, the safety and security of the region, and the recent MOU between Guam and the CNMI. “It is important to have these dialogues with our brothers and sisters in the CNMI,” stated George Charfauros, Guam HSA. “It solidifies our partnership and is a prime example of how Guam does not only think about Guam. We are all one community, the Marianas.” “Thank you for the continued collaboration,” stated Gerald De Leon Guerrero, CNMI HSA. “Guam and the CNMI Emergency Management have always had a good working relationship and will continue to do so to build a more prepared community.” For more information, contact Public Information Officer, Jenna G.
