Without Ike on hand, and Ruth too young, Mary helps out at the Fun Bowl frequently. Though sometimes "helps" means assuring Nathan that his form is still good.

"You can beat this guy, Mary!" "I dunno, man, my launch is a work of art."

"Special welcome-home price for you today, Sadie! In memory of all the groceries you've rung up for me."

"Whoa, the youngest Land boy grew up fine!"

"Ooh, listen, they're playing our song!" (Of course they are; Mary paid the juke box a quarter to do so.) "Shall we dance, then?" "Always."

"You were wearing blue." "It clashed with my eyes, but I didn't realize it till afterward." "Did it? It looked great to me."

Priya throws a party, and also invites in random people as they walk by.

Ruth settles in to her new space well, and Ike makes the most of having a whole bathroom all to himself while he can. He’ll be sharing it with his sister soon enough.

Ike distracts himself however he can, but a conviction is growing in him that only one thing will cure his malaise.

A basketball hoop and some monkey bars in the back yard - now that spring is coming they'll have no excuse not to get out into the fresh air and really enjoy their home. But with nature sprouting new growth, the birds putting on their courting togs, and Nathan putting flowers in the front yard, Mary's begun to feel drab.

Gavigan MaryG is always up for feeding anyone Ike cares to bring home or who cares to drop in.

Lavesh knows his duties as a host, and hastens to make sure his younger guests are having fun before claiming his place in the teens.

When not helping Nathan, Mary is finding other things to do in her new spare time, and broadening her acquaintance. Isaiah is delighted to find that neighbors are no longer hogging the drum all day. Ruth comes home and immediately throws herself on the couch to catch up on cartoons.  Ike feels very mature and responsible, helping Ruth with her homework. And Nathan occasionally cooks. Yes, he’s surprised, too.
