7.08.2018 I'm currently having great time in Spain with my best friend <3 We spent one day in Paris (that's when I took the photo) and now we're just resting and not thinking about school 🙈 I'm reading John McMurry's Organic Chemistry, and it's actually very interesting ( although some people at the beach might think I'm kinda weird hah). When I come back, I'll have to start thinking seriously about my UCAS application... But now I'm just enjoying my holidays and learning some chemistry just for fun!

Today I got up earlier than usual (before 10 am, and I woke up at 8:00? That’s quite an accomplishment for me hah) and started the day with doing some maths. Then I read about metabolism from Campbell Biology (which I highly reccomend - it’s just nice to read, nicer than common textbooks).

I really hate the fact that we’re not allowed to use a more advanced calculator during an exam. All this calculating just takes so much time ughh

After that I did some more maths - it’s not that I like it so much, it’s just that the score at Matura exam that I want to get is insanely high :“)

I also did some workout today which I am very proud of - I don’t have weight issues (thanks, genetics!), but that also means no motivation for regular activity :D, especially during summer holidays.

I guess today was a really good day for me! I’m trying not to do to much work, since I have pretty intense 9 months coming 😣 So I need my rest now ^^

15.07.2018 My first studyblr photo! Yay ^^ Today I did some organic chemistry extra readind (it's John McMurry's Organic Chemistry) - we'll do it in class this winter, but I'm thinking about participating in some competionions maybe??? Also it's always something to talk about during a hypothetical interview! I also tried to do some maths, but I wasn't really in the right zone for that I guess, and I got stuck after solving 2 or 3 problems :( But whatever, happens to anybody, and I have the whole summer to do maths, so I've decided to relax and read a book! (currently reading: Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Sir Terry Pratchett - and I love it!)

I'm officialy back on track with my studies! 💪

Today I solved some chemistry problems to revise the subject after summer break. I feel a little bit more confident now ^^ Then I skimmed through my geometry notes - tomorrow I have my first maths lesson since July and I really don't want it to be a disaster.

I also registered to UCAS and I'm in the middle of filling in the application (which is kinda scary, considering the fact that the majority of my friends will apply to universities JULY 2019 - in Poland you apply after results day).

I'm motivated to work hard, form good habits and be productive this year ^^

Hi everyone! So after following the community for a couple of months I’ve (finally) decided to create my own studyblr, and here’s my introduction post ^_^ (And yes, I’m currently right in the middle of a 2 month summer break, but hey ho, any time is perfect for creating a studyblr!)

Basic info 

My name’s Mary, but I really like my middle name Joan so that’s why I’m Mary Joan here (also it’s almost Mary Jane hah)

17 (turning 18 in November)

high school senior in Poland (I start my final year in September)

taking chemistry, biology, maths and English on extended level on Matura (the finals J)

aspiring to study in the UK (either NatSci on Cambridge or chemistry with medicinal chemistry at some other uni), so yeah, UCAS application is coming soon :o

Interests

I’m a bit of a geek (loving MCU, Star Wars, etc.), and Doctor Who is my favourite thing ever

books! my favourite author is Neil Gaiman

the UK (I hope it doesn’t sound too weird – I simply adore the English language with all its accents, the history, the culture etc.)

Today I did some maths - I solved problems with which I struggled a lot yesterday and the day before! If only this was possible during an actual exam hah :D Well, practice makes perfect ;) I’m also planning in my bujo on what to post on this studyblr, so some longer posts are coming! (I hope)

I also finished watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and I’m going to try to take a break from watching series - there’s Orange is the New Black season 6 coming soon, and for now I’d like to focus on watching some must-see films that I somehow haven’t seen!

100 Days of Productivity - 1/100 (!!!)

So I started the 100 Days of Productivity Challenge today! Since it's my senior year, I nead something to force me to work regularly 🙈

I am going to try to skip as little days as possible - I know it's not a rule of the challenge, but that's just what's best for me!

So good luck to me I guess <3 And good luck to all of you guys doing the challenge right now!

So today was actually quite productive! I spent 2 hours solving maths problems - the best thing is, I do see the results of my hard work! It pays off, and I think it’s awesome, since maths has always been my biggest struggle. 

 I’ve also watched the best Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode ever! (S05E04 c: ) 

And obviously - I started my studyblr! (And don’t worry, it’s gonna be more interesting than just plain text hah)
