I didn’t know what to expect from #Ecuador. Traditionally, I’m a cold weather lover and don’t fare too well in equatorial climates. But I absolutely fell in love with the country, the people, the wildlife, and the food! It is an incredibly diverse and beautiful country, and the people of Ecuador are some of the warmest and most gentle and kind I’ve ever come across. One of my favorite experiences there was hiking in the cloud forests surrounding the incredible Mashpi Lodge (one of Nat Geo’s Unique Lodges of the World). We hiked to this beautiful waterfall called Healing Waters, where one can get a behind-the-falls rush after a sweaty hike.
