They stare you down, Their faces hidden behind plastic slabs. You never know who their looking at, Or the expression on their face. They may be taunting you silently, But you can’t see it in their eyes. They could be smiling at you, But their mouths are covered. They may have a fear of looking at you, But all they can do is hide. I look at them and shake, They could be planning something big. You can never trust those who hide, They could stab you in the back. I know this is just a fear, But it feels like the end. Why can’t they just let the world see their emotions? Their eyes? Some fear the darkness, But I fear the masked.
