     she  is  completely  &  utterly  stunned .    perhaps  shinobu  gave  the  demon  too  much  credit   ,   but  the  fact  that  she  did  not  think  twice  about  shoving  her  hand  into  her  fish  tank  is  somehow  shocking .   what  is  it  with  everyone  and  her  fish  today  ?    a  brief  moment  of  shock  rushes  into  an  impulsive  grasp  of  noi's  much larger wrist .    she  attempts  to  pull  her  hand  from  the  water  before  one  of  her  fish  become  possible  victims .

     "    please  do  not  touch  my  fish   -   you'll  startle  them .   "   in  fact   ,   she  already  has .

       nikaido wipes the sweat from her brow and shrugs the jacket hanging loosely on her arms back up to her shoulders  .   maybe  it’s nothing more than an attempt to buy her a few more precious seconds to recover  ,  but there’s no denying it’s  truth           -  noi and shin are  monsters  compared to any other magic user she’s encountered  .  nikaido knew that from their first fight in hole  ,  but no matter how she might  steel herself  ,  she’s never  quite  prepared for the shock to her system that is noi  .
