🐇 It's an obviously novice attempt at making a copy of Mr. Mew. Like, someone's first try at sewing a plushie.
Send 🐇 to give my muse a plush toy! | Accepting!
The strange plushie appears out of nowhere - and while there can be a bunch of reasons why a random copy of Mr. Mew seems to be on your desk, you have to admit, despite it all, the plushie feels... endearing, in a way. It reminds you of when you first made your own Mr. Mew---with the beginner’s love and inexperience.
With a small smile on your face, you hold up the lookalike by its arms, gentle as you take note of its details. You wish you knew who made it - obviously, making a toy isn’t the easiest thing in the world, especially on the first try. Thanking them is the least you could do.
Send me HC + a word and I’ll write a headcanon about it regarding my character.
Ohhhhh boyyyyyy.
When it comes to regrets, Shiki has a truckload of them.
The first and biggest of them being, of course, becoming the Composer. Which stems from the regret of erasing the previous one. Which further arises from regretting her decision to help Beat become the next Composer. If we keep on going along the route - there’s ultimately her regret for dying, and for being unable to patch things up with Eri.
Other things she regrets, to a very marginally lesser extent, include being unable to join her Game-forged friends in the RG, and being unable to offer any condolences whatsoever to her parents. She also regrets loosing contact with said friends once they had moved out of Shibuya, though that was more or less a result of busy lives and her own willingness to let them live on without her; after all, dead is dead and she’s something not made to be remembered by the living.
A part of her slightly regrets going along with the whole thing so easily though, in a way. A part of her wishes she put up more of an argument, instead of simply accepting her duties. A part of her wishes she had given up in a different sense - and disappeared. Either way, at the end of a living life or an undead life, she was going to be turning into mere bits of Soul and nothing more. So, what was the point of sticking around?
In that last case, there’s only one thing to blame - and that’s a stubborn sense of human morals. She has an obligation to take care of things and ensure everything will be alright before she buries her regrets into her grave, where she ought to be.
Looks like someone's left a festive print bag full of candy and cookies in dead god's pad, labeled with only two lines: "For Shiki, Merry Christmas!"
Christmas was the standard affair, being a day full of presents and carols and merry lighting far above, on the surface, far from where Shiki often found herself. She couldn’t remember a single year where she wasn’t underground on this day - there was either paperwork to complete, or more commonly, a Game to be overseeing.
(Because a Game on Christmas was nice and it helped to lighten the mood a bit for everyone, among other various things. Also, making everyone go Christmas shopping instead of erasing each other just sounded like a great idea overall, or something, but lets pretend this wasn’t an apparent motive or anything.)
Today wouldn’t be any exception to this, apparently. She had spent most of the day in the Room of Reckoning, looking out for Players and the occasional rule breaker as the fourth day of the Game came to a close. The results were good in her opinion - though as always, could have been maybe a tiny bit better.
Puzzling over everyone’s progress and calculating individual scores, her mind barely managed to register when she had strolled out of her room and entered the next one over, not until the sound of her shoes hitting a glass floor somehow caught her attention and she finally looked around.
It was almost surprising, she supposed, that the Dead God’s Pad - an unofficial office for herself - wasn’t in too trashed a state, considering that it was Christmas and there was always that one Reaper who decided to hold a party here. (Maybe they finally figured out that they could just have a big merry ramen party in Dogenzaka.) Though, on an idle, closer look, there was still something slightly off about the room.
On the table, Shiki spotted a paper bag filled with sweets - blueberry cookies, a few random lollipops of random flavors, cheerful candy canes in weird abundance, and lots of other things that she would have loved to munch on, dead or alive really. Absently inspecting the print of the bag itself, which was a cute pattern of a little cat with a bit of mistletoe stuck to its tail, she even found a message scribbled in swirly lettering–
Wait wait wait–this was a Christmas present? For Shiki? From who? She couldn’t find any names, but the handwriting might be enough of a giveaway, almost, if she wanted to look into it. At the moment, though, she was more puzzled over the why than the who. Not many people thought to gift their own Composer a present, not unless they were kind, and happened to even know who they were. As such, she seldom got any presents, period.
It was almost touching to get something this year around. Like something promising for the next year - at least, she could view it like that. She could also view it as just a nice bag of sweets sent by an anonymous person who she should probably thank, if she ever found out who they were. The latter being a bit more simpler on the mind, Shiki went with that for now, plucking out one of the cookies to eat as she continued on her way out.
! - A character development or random head canon you have for your character.
(Since Shiki is probably gonna take forever and a half to mention this thing to anyone–)
(The reason why she really doesn’t trust people as much is because one of her own reapers tried to erase her just a month after she ascended. And sure, it doesn’t sound all that big maybe, but honestly, would you think that your own unsuspecting subordinate would try to murder you when you turned your back to them for like just two seconds?)
? - Name an unexpected way in which your character has developed.
(100% did not expect her to be this grumpy honestly. It’s weirdly funny.)
