“I’m sorry, but my number of fucks to give has officially reached a negative number.”
Madison felt her heart sink to the bottom of her chest. She didn’t like hearing that from him. Never expected to hear that from him. But here Roderick was, stood in front of her uttering those exact words. Something inside of her tore in half. Nodding her head, she said, “Did you ever actually give any fucks at all?” Looking up at him wide-eyed, she was hoping to hear some form of a changed answer. However, instead, she was only met with silence. Breathing out a sigh, she nodded. “Thought not. Thanks for making me think so, god. Fuck you.” She said, taking a step back. “Really... just fuck you.” Then with that, she turned on her heels and got away from him as fact as possible. She could not believe is was happening again.
“Don’t fucking touch me.”
Pausing, Madison looked Roderick up and down. She didn’t know what she was doing or why she was doing it. But she was suddenly in Roderick’s lap; her head was fuzzy from what felt like too much Mike’s Hard. Roderick’s words weren’t coming out in an aggressive manner; more like a floaty an bubbly kind of way. The kind of way that someone who was also under the influence would sound. She looked over his face; the awkward crooked smile that was only worn by someone who could barely tell what he was doing. He was right, she shouldn’t fucking touch him. He may not actually mean it, but she couldn’t allow the first time she kissed him to be while he was in the middle of a drunken stupor. “I-I won’t.” She whispered, crawling out of her perch on his lap. “And I’m sorry.”

Roderick rushed through his apartment and to the front door. Flinging it open, he sent a glare at Mason - who was screaming the lyrics to Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off. “Will you knock it off!” Roderick yell whispered. “Marley just fell asleep. If she Wakes up and hears you out here singing this, she’ll rush out here to ring your neck.” Roderick forewarned, keeping in mind that added effect of how all over the place his girlfriend’s hormones had been lately. “Now I suggest you make your way home to your wife, Mason. Causing trouble isn’t something we need right now.”
