Beef cheeks, Guinness gravy, roasted onions, beetroot relish and mashed potatoes, aud31 from Masonmill Gardens, Carmel, Perth Hills. There were two generous pieces of beef cheeks and they were cooked tenderly and fell apart easily. The roasted onions tasted like it's been pickled and the mash was good. Didn't like the earthy beetroot relish so that went to Dad. I couldn't finish the beef cheeks either so Dad helped me with it too. Masonmill's Steak On A Stone: 250g fillet steak on a sizzling volcanic rock, chips, side salad and cracked pepper sauce, onion jam and garlic butter; aud38 from Masonmill Gardens (used to be Rose Heritage Cafe), Carmel, Perth Hills. Menu on @perthfoodmenu Father's Day celebrations earlier today! Dads are such meatlovers. 😂 I thought the steak tasted a bit gamey but Dad enjoyed this regardless - he especially loved cutting it in bits and cooking it on the volcanic stone. I was too hungry and completely forgot to video the sizzling steak. Onion jam was yum and this was such a convenient place to visit (10 mins' drive) after exploring Lesmurdie Falls. Do check out Lesmurdie Falls too if you have not been - there are gorgeous blooming wildflowers there too at this time of year.
