In your most recent video, you declared Detective Dick Gumshoe to be "perfect" and you're 100% correct but would you care to elaborate on what makes him perfect anyway?

he is one of the only examples of a "good cop" in media. gumshoe consistently chooses to do the right thing, and as a result he cannot keep his job or make a living as a police officer. he is punished at every turn by pay cuts and outright terminations because he will always choose to do what is just and good over what the system he is a part of wants him to do. because he is a good cop. and a good cop will never, ever stay a cop for long.

also he's a big sweet bear of a man who was once described by takumi as "the guy who will buy you lunch even if he doesn't have the money to feed himself." he is weirdly good with handicrafts & technology. he is one of the only characters who acknowledges franziska's age and actively worries about her. he thinks about miles whenever there's an earthquake and worries himself sick over the guy being in detention. he is just a good person with a heart of gold and he is perfect. i don't even know how to elaborate which is why i didn't. just look at him.

Awhile back you mentioned that Black Widow and Hawkeye were the least likely main movie Avengers to be on the tree, but Hawkeye made it on via Mockingbird IIRC. Has anything come up for Black Widow since then, or has she managed to escape the kudzu so far?

Yeah, Hawkeye (Clint) gets on the list via Mockingbird, his ex-wife.

Mockingbird's brainwave patterns were copied by Ultron to create the robot Alkhema, his second attempt at a robot-daughter-bride.

Brainwave pattern copying is considered to basically be cloning in Marvel. Vision's brainwave patterns were taken from Wonder Man, and both Simon and his brother consider Vision to be their brother as a result.

So Hawkeye's ex-sister-in-law is a part of the Pym family.

For Natasha, however, I've actually uncovered a couple different paths.

For one, she recently had a symbiote for a couple of years. The symbiote, Sliver, is actually one of Venom's kids, so Natasha makes the list via the Venom family.

There's also an alternate-universe child with Steve Rogers named James Rogers, who was last seen stuck on Earth-616.

And also she was cloned by Dr Bong, alongside Steve and Moon Knight.
