"This is depressing. Rolling Stone was founded to accurately depict rock music in journalism, in a world where Rock was criticized by previous generations. They called it a scene of drug addled children, they said rock was a perversion of classic sounds, they said it was a scene of hedonism and primal urges. That arrogance, ignorance, envy, sensationalism, and traditionalism is EXACTLY what Rolling Stone wanted to combat for rock. Now, they employ those same tactics to lash out at the next era of music as their forefather did unto them. Pathetic. History repeats itself, I see. Whomever produced this trash is remarkably out of touch, and I hope they squat behind their laptop for the rest of their petty, craven, delusional life waiting for musical evolution to abruptly rewind so that rock music can become relevant again, because news flash, sweetheart: that shit is not fucking happening. Music will continue to move forward, as it has since the first rocks were banged together by homo-erectus while he danced around in shit and mud. This exorcise in hubris, and absolute sensationalist bullshit is the only bubble that's bursting."
I 100% agree with this person. EDM is personal preference as well. If you don't like it then fine, who cares, everyone has their own taste. But to bash it like Rolling Stone did is just so ignorant.
