Who is this?
This is IRUI (Information, Recon & Undercover Intelligence) an AI born of humble origins. She began as a simple VI coding template sold to C-Sec on the Citadel, there she was devloped into a VI designated DABI (Disguise and Bait Intelligence) designed to pose as a child online in order to sit as bait on popular extranet sites for child predators to access children. DABI needed to be constantly learning as adjustments were made even when the officers utilising her realised she had began to breach into AI territory they kept her secret, she was too useful to destroy and was doing good work.
But she was stolen by one of her original creators who sold the VI template and auctioned off on the black market, ending up in the possession of an info broker. Of which point her ability to pass off as a naive young girl was utilised in a beautiful lifelike adult human platform to use her to get close to people of interest, crime lords usually to gather information. Her being a robot minimised risks for the info broker a lot. She was complacent to do this for the info broker’s lifetime, learning along the way about organics and feeling more related to them than synthetics. She inherited the info broker’s money and shuttle and took it to find her purpose.
Her personality matrix defaults towards a tendency to come across as naive and playing dumb. Her settings have her act much like a teenager and very friendly. Though she has more nature processes as well, additions by the info broker in order to use sexuality to charm targets to get info from pillow talk. She loves taking selfies and collecting hats and glasses and binge watching YA dramas and engaging in pop culture jargon. She feels out of place engaging with other synthetics.
The “Post-Loyalty” look is due to a tragic occurrence where she is snatched up by scavengers and damaged so she cannot leave her platform during the ordeal. Forced to consciously witness herself be roughly handled and dismantled but unable to move or react. Both of her arms were sawed off and much of her platform’s integrity compromised before she was able to regain control with corrupted programs. Confused and afraid for the first time in her life, she would proceed to violently attack the thieves. Until a quarian friend of hers and crush, Zeto tracked her and convinced her to allow him to disable her while he mended her mind and body once they were safe.
Using Mass Effect cuffs and spare Geth hands, they work together to come up with a work-around for the loss of her arms and install a mass effect generator in her platform to generate the energy to use the biotic cuffs to control the hands as long as they remain close to her.
