It’s a good thing that I have a covered parking space at my apartment complex.
“They” are predicting more massive storms coming through North Texas tonight, bringing not only the possibility of tornadoes, but also tennis ball sized hail!
It’s not quite as protected as being in an actual garage, but definitely better than nothing at all. Especially considering the roof of my car is entirely made of glass!
If my car was totally exposed, I would be completely fucked by the time the storm ends (and not in the good way). Hopefully a tornado doesn’t come close enough to rip away the roof over my parking space before the giant hail starts.
I don’t even need to watch the local news tomorrow, because it will be nothing but non-stop stories about cars and homes being destroyed by the storm. There will be at least 2 reporters stationed at almost every single car dealership in the area. They’d save a lot of time by just re-airing the reports they did last time..... or the time before that.... or the one before that.... or.... This happens at least a few times a year. Every year. For all eternity.
Also, every tv show being broadcast tonight will be repeatedly interrupted or per-empted entirely just so the weather people can repeat the exact same 2 sentences over and over all night, even if the storm is still hundreds of miles away. And they will do whatever it takes to pretend that things are significantly worse if it turns out the storm was nowhere close to as big and bad as they predicted.
