Blair is the “Harbinger of Death”
Tyler is the “Angel Of Resurrection”
The prophecy states that if not properly taken care of Grant will be the one to ruin it. That he allows the Evil to win. The Evil side is named under the belief of Ishrah, Angra Mainyu the entity of it, his brother Altra the Will of Good. Mainyu and Altra have spent many, many centuries before the self realization of human kind at moving back and forth keeping the good and evil equal. Once humans enlighten along with the animals the natural instincts of Mainyu and Altra settled in but was hard for humans to handle. Altra had to spend many times picking up after what Mainyu had destroyed, all the time forgiving him. One day it became too much for Mainyu he wanted to push his brother over the edge test his limits. Causing a huge devastation to the world Altra lost his calm and loving demeanor. Having a huge battle it left them scattered to the winds spreading their good and evil all over the world. Concentrated evil in spots versus good spots a slowly unraveling balance. A book of Mainyu's has appeared and some kids have gotten a hold of it trying to resurrect the old Evil in hopes for power.
Clara is immortal in the means if she dies she takes a animal form and kills it, at the time it is unknown if she cannot return use of that animals. I.E if she dies in a bear form can she return into a bear form?
Blair is immortal due to his ability to take in anything's energy and for the human body to continue on moving it needs that spark of energy. His vampire body heals him to an extent to survive to get to his brother for treatment.
Tyler is immortal due to being of the Angel of Resurrection. Having the healing ability keeps him alive no matter what even pushed to the limits it will find a way to keep him alive.
A.J is immortal in a similar sense of Clara with taking an animal's life. It takes him a lot longer to regenerate as Clara's is almost immediate. Though any extent of it is not known as he only died once.
Grant is immortal the limitations of it is unknown but he can take a lot of damage before the need to rest and feed. I.E Grant is very lithe with the ability to get out a lot of situations before they get out of hand.
Ulrik is immortal the limitations are unknown as none has seen anything get the better of him to have to figure out what could possibly kill him. I.E he is a great fighter and never suffers any serious wounds and many do not try to kill a werewolf.
