It's kind of unbelievable how people treat you on this website so often. It's your blog. It is your blog. Do they expect your thoughts, modelled by your own experience and posted on your blog, to cater to them??
I actually think I know why people are like that to me. I think it’s because they don’t see me as a person, but rather a spokesperson or mouthpiece for disability rights in general
They can’t wrap their heads around the fact I could have such “stereotypical” “bad” disabilities and still be a person with feelings. To them I am like a character in a show that they can extract “representation” from if they yell at me loud enough. They don’t seem to grasp that I have friends, feelings, memories, etc.
