okay…thinking about what kinds of tea (if any) my characters would like <- i’ve thought of it before but haven’t shared + some of it’s changed

Etain
her taste varies wildly, with the only given is she likes her tea on the sweeter side (even if only slightly). for comfort it’s often black tea with a variety of spices added to it; anything with cardamom, whether by itself or with things like cinnamon and cloves being added as well, is always welcome to her!
for a lighter tea though she enjoys green tea but if given the choice she’ll always go for hibiscus ones
totally not inspired by me presently drinking a really good hibiscus tea //

can stomach, but not always enjoy, just about anything.
has a great preference for either green tea (especially in the mornings) or a black tea made similarly to masala chai (something he takes great comfort in as it reminds him of helping cook meals for the temple). <- he likes others as well but if those are available he’s immediately picking them

either an extremely strong caf (doesn’t matter how it’s made/if anything else is in it, as long as it’s strong) or the space equivalent of long jing green tea, no inbetween

he’s the flower padawan so he ofc drinks floral teas! he won’t admit it but it’s blatantly obvious he loves blooming teas if solely for how pretty they are (though he enjoys the flavors as well)

not really one for teas as we know them, prefers either just plain water or things most beings would consider closer to medicinal tisanes

she’s an old lady and stuck in her ways, she likes plain green, white or yellow tea and is a stickler for manners (though she can only sigh in fond exasperation as her lineage breaks etiquette — at least they have decent taste though, teeket’s wacky preferences not withstanding ofc)
