I actually have quite a few that were either concepts or started/half-finished. Particularly at the beginning of the year from January - April time I had loads of ideas floating about.

1. Chemtrails over the country club

Was actually my favourite concept I’ve ever come up with and still sad I’ve not had time to explore it. Essentially it’s a Lando & Oscar au where they’re both lifeguards at a posh country club and they’re both interested in one girl who goes there. I actually ended up using a similar banner concept for a recent fic as I liked it so much and hated seeing it in the drafts!

2. Back 2 friends

This was based off the Sombr song ‘back to friends’ and had the concept of Lando during a breakup. I had the initial plan but never actually started writing the story. I still like the idea and there’s a lot to potentially work with, so who knows you might see it on my blog at some point!

3. Illicit Affairs

Okay this was one of my favourites than I started to write but never finished because I got poorly. You’ll definitely see this because it’s the plot to the sequel of Cabin Fever 🤭

4. How did it end?

I had a thing for writing for max at the end of last year after some edits had me feeling some type of way. I started to write a story about Max and his ex-girlfriend who happened to work on the grid for McLaren and would be a grid fic with other drivers in it too but it never got its feet off the ground!

I hope this wet your appetite for some things going on in the background…

There is quite a few more than I’ve not mentioned, we’d probably be here forever but hopefully I can get round to finishing / starting them 🥰

i think about my FUCK ASS (dear to me) novel every single day. i want to write it…so bad. turns out in order to write a book, you have to actually sit down and write. that’s the gag. oh god

Anxiety has been pretty high on and off for the last six weeks, so I've been seeking out old half-finished knitting projects and cataloguing them to try and keep it under control.

At least one takes a lot more spell slots than I have available right now (an Irish Diamond pattern lace shawl started in 2014, in heavy thrifted cotton(?) yarn I bought forty years ago) but some of them are super easy to pick up again. I had to rip out the Triangles shawl I started in 2022 after nearly finishing it because I lost the game of Yarn Chicken I was playing with it and had to make it four stitches narrower in order to complete it with the yarn I had on hand (four skeins of Lion Homespun in Celestial Stripes.) I unearthed an entire box of partial projects from my "office" and moved them into the main room so that I could find them again...that box will need careful picking through and cleaning, the cat was apparently using it as a bed at one point (I miss my boy so much!)

Right now I am figuring out a cardigan I started in 2019 to use up some chunky yarn I bought in mass quantities at some point for reasons I no longer remember. The back and one sleeve are in the project bag, the partial sleeve has been ripped back and the ball rewound (that ball winder was the best purchase 30+ years ago!) Hoping that my notes will make more sense once I start up the sleeve again and that my gauge hasn't changed in the intervening years. I think I was making the XL version of the cardigan, but had to add some stitches to make the right dimensions. We will see!

There's one more project around here somewhere, a Pi shawl done in cheap purple yarn that I also bought from the same yarn salvage shop back in the early 90s. It looks like someone sheared a Muppet to make it, but hey, it's yarn and it will make a heavy shawl that I won't worry about getting dirty or throwing into the wash.

To celebrate finishing up the Celestial version of the Triangles shawl, I got more of the same yarn in a colorway more flattering to me (Forest, mixed warm greens) and that is going to be my "knit in public" project that I have been planning. There's a queer-owned coffee shop about 15 minutes walk from my house that has a regular fiber group meeting that I want to start going to, once I work up the nerve to leave the house.

I want the Historical Fashion covers to be recognizable together... what do you think of these designs?

Most of this though is about colour options. Testing things out.

I think I'll do Pink (B) 1800s and Blue (C) 2000s? What say you?

Rolled book stacks today so I traced out the logos I need

And painted the books I'm using (actual hardcover books!). And then since the books had to dry, I switched gears and started on my beaded plant

This is gonna take soooo long, but it's gonna be beautiful! There are definitely already beads on the floor, and I expect there to be plenty more before I finish.
