#fit_tip 56 I use jogging as a form of meditation. Last night I jogged for 10 minutes at a pace where I was pushing myself but not going over the top. If sprinting is 100% I was jogging at about 80 -85%. When my breathing is deep and In control, my body feels like it will continue to move on its own. My arms and legs swing and push forward efficiently with purpose. I then wake up to a hightened state of consciousness. My thinking is clear and intelligent. In this meditative state, I asked myself, "How much can I deadlift today to really push myself?" The first answer that came to my head was 400 lbs. I've never lifted 400 lbs, but once I thought it, I believed it could be done. When it came time to deadlift, I kept increasing the weight slowly not paying much attention to how close I was to 400 lbs. I was just in the zone. After a few sets, I realized I was lifting 415! That goes to show how powerful the mind can be. Also, there is no competition for these "hard" self dominating targets because everyone else is competing for the "easy" and "medium" targets. Once you hit or even simply attempt this hard target, you realize there was nothing to fear. Did you die? The target wasn't really that crazy in the first place, it was just new and unfamiliar. Ask yourself empowering questions. Then just start the work, once you start it's easy to keep going. But start. #mastermind #masterbody #nodaysoff #youthebest
