Closet Chronicles, Vol. 15: . Drawer faces are a slow process. I only have so many clamps and glue has to dry and filler/caulk has to dry... it’s just progressing rather slowly at the moment. I now have 5 in place and a 6th drying in the garage. The fifth one was a jerk to install 😂😂 . My amazing husband braved Black Friday after work to pick up the final board I’ll need for this part of the project. He is so thoughtful and selfless ❤️ . . In between working on drawer faces, I cuddled with my new birthday weighted blanket- so did Junie (thanks mom and dad!)!! And Aggie sat on my lap for an entire 25 minutes!! She hasn’t done that since she was small enough for me to scoop up! . I’m super glad there are still two days left in my weekend. Closet Chronicles, Vol. 9: . The super messy cutting and pocket hole drilling is now complete!!! I’m a bit tired of being covered in saw dust and tracking it into our clean house!! So when I got home from school today, I cuddled the pups and husband for a minute and then got to work. I was determined to get the messiest bits done with!! . The garage was super cold, so my sweet husband set up a very powerful propane heater for me and after about a half hour I had to turn it off!! . I was really careful with how I measured my pieces this time and I ended up with a very pleasant scrap wood “art piece.” It gives me a Chichen Itza vibe 😎🤨😜 . I cut and pocket holed all the drawers for Josh’s side and I finished a couple last minute shelves! Those still have to be painted, but at least they’re all cut and drilled ☺️ my phone died, so Josh let me borrow his to finish taking my obsessive photos 🙃 . Tomorrow, after school, I assemble the drawers and hang them on their sliders! Closet Chronicles, Vol. 5: First, look at my husband ❤️😍❤️😍❤️😍 Okay- so this sweet man worked all day on a utility sink for the laundry room and then helped me figure out how to install the drawer I built! . Let’s just say- it is hard!!! We were going to give up or wait another day and he let me say, “we’re just gonna do it!!” and we dove right in! . We used some Kreg drawer slide jigs and made lots of mistakes... we YouTubed some stuff at one point!!! But LO AND BEHOLD, an installed drawer!!! .
