"And on my birthday? What a dick move, Calligan."

Lucien was getting a glass of wine for himself needing a moment alone to recharge his social battery. Euphoria was always so loud. A reminder that Christmas and New years were far too close together. One should be outlawed. He took a long drink from his glass before he turned to head back to his table and nearly turned into the firm body. His eyes scanted up already knowing, but having to confirm who it was. "How did you get in here?" Because they were in the VIP section and he wasn't Hunter was a VIP. He glanced over his shoulder and saw Gareth and frowned before his eyes shifted back to Hunter. "I thought you would have enough to keep yourself busy, I can assure you I do."

Lucien was sitting in the game room at the opposite end of a chess board, white of course, he was always white. Heat didn't change the standing games he and his brother had. He might have been mistaken for decoration if someone didn't know who he was for how still he'd been sitting glaring down at the board in displeasure. White checked by black. Usually he didn't sit this long, but heat made it harder to concentrate and he wanted to figure out where his mistake was. He wouldn't lose again.
He was about to set the thing on fire and be done with it, though he knew it would get replaced. It would still make him feel better in the moment. Of course he was so focused on what was in front of him he didn't hear who came up behind him until the other said something and the other nearly came out of the chair knocking over the pieces that remained on the board.
"What are you doing?" He hissed not yet acknowledging the other as he scrambled to grab the pieces and put them back. He could remember where they were, but his brain worked better visualizing them in their actual ending places. Once they were there he turned his wrath on the imposing man behind him. "Can you not see I'm in the middle of something." He snarled at the younger who he was sure was going to say something annoyingly stupid. "And don't assume playing with myself. I wasn't paying with myself."

Yeah, Euphoria still wasn't Finn's favorite place to be. Not his vibe. But he was here because apparently it was Gareth's vibe and he'd been required to accompany his master for some part of the evening given the whole costume theme schtick. Finn supposed his costume could've been worse; at least it covered the majority of skin. The boots, though, were about as comfortable as they looked and the familiar took high advantage of any time sitting down this evening that he could. Which currently had him sitting at one of the many bars in Euphoria.
Naturally it seemed wherever Gareth went so did Hunter follow his sire. Of course the young bastard chose this exact bar out of the few in the whole place, probably because Finn stood out under the neon flashing lights dressed in bright pink with silver-pink dyed hair. And of course Hunter chose to dress in as little himself to show off all his stupid fucking muscles on that tall frame. He immediately greeted Hunter with a glare, a Guinness in hand.
"Oh, fuck off, Calligan."

Lucien tried to convince himself it wasn't that different. He wasn't that different. No one would notice anything was different as he moved down the hallway. What was a ghoul to a moroi anyway. Nothing had changed. Being who he was, of course, it was something he internalized and hadn't discussed in much detail with anyone since it happened. He'd been reading books, research was always the best way to learn for him and by doing. Never one to have a mentor during his formative years in scientific research he certainly wasn't going to take one for magic not deeming any at the castle up to par with his standards, well one was, but Raphael was too much of a distraction, even the thought of the other made his face heat.
He headed outside the castle not realizing he'd gained a tail on his way out of the castle, too focused on what he was going to be doing and running through all the items in the book he'd committed to memory not wanting to carry it with him and draw any suspicion. Apparently Lucien going outside on his own was suspicious enough, which was to be fair. The former moroi wasn't the outside type unless forced to and usually it was to go somewhere not arbitrarily near the edge of the forest.
Fire was the element he was most comfortable with. As a neko spirit it was his only magical element. Now he had more at his call should he want them. He thought of Cairo who primarily wielded electricity and wondered if it was something he could conjure as easily and then came the hard part. The clearing his mind and being in the moment, all the things with magic that were completely counterproductive to having it.
The focus he wasn't channeling was detailed when he heard the step behind him. How the body got so close without him noticing, Lucien was never a good predator. It was why during the second war he made creatures and biological weapons to fight against perceived enemies and stayed in his lab behind impenetrable walls.
"Hunter." He hissed. What came from his hands was not electricity instead it was fire and it did not have the exact effect he wanted in producing a powerful ball of flame that pushed the other away. Instead it burned up the fabric that the other wore forcing him to strip it off as he started it on fire not actually putting much distance between them and leaving the cut chest and stomach exposed to him. "Why are you..." Lucien trailed as his eyes did the same flickering down and back up the younger before he remembered he was annoyed. "Why are you out here?" He harshly whispered like they weren't completely isolated where they were.

How Finn Sees Hunter
@masterxhunter
Finn had no idea what came over him. One moment he was minding his business and then the next he had this uncontrollable urge to ride Hunter's dick till he saw fucking stars. It wasn't love by any means –– he still hated his master's fledgling with a passion that now apparently meant literally.
He turned on his heel and changed his course of direction straight for Hunter's suite, banging on the door until the bastard opened up. "Fuck you," Finn growled as he dragged the taller man down by the neck for a heated kiss, shoving him inside and kicking the door shut behind him. He slammed Hunter up against the nearest wall, lips still locked together in something rough and hungry till Finn broke away, dragging Hunter's bottom lip between his teeth as he did. He grabbed two fistfuls of the other man's shirt and tore it off. "Don't think this means I forgive you or whatever, I still fuckin' loathe you. Hurry up and get your fuckin' clothes off."

"Strong words, Mr. Calligan, when you are barely passing my class." Lucien said moving to the desk Hunter was sitting in. "Do not think I won't drop that grade out of spite alone." He leaned in. "You aren't as cute as you believe yourself to be." He shut the book that was in front of him. "Perhaps if you beg, I may offer you some extra credit."
