Sometimes you have such a worthy body/neck that you throw the proverbial kitchen sink at it, costs-be-damned, to make the most tip-top Bass VI. Received this USA Custom Guitars Bass VI in a trade, but it was a quirky little mother. Routed for Strat coils, and without vintage-correct pickup spacing. Factory side jack to boot, and shorter three switch control plate route. @southsoundguitars provided the assist on the routing, @factionguitars made the custom matching plates, @lollarpickups wound the coils, and the essential @masterybridge topped things off. Opted for a Vol/Tone/Tone layout to use a traditional three hole Bass VI control plate, and don’t even get me started on the sleuthing and squinting at tortoise patterns online to score the right side bevel pickguard for an Elvis Costello-ish look. So there you have it: Bass VI. Whoo! #BassVI #Lollarpickups #masterybridge #mmguitarbar (at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar) https://www.instagram.com/p/CG3kOJkggYv/?igshid=17eok1swc932
