Animator Oleg Kuvaev had to remove Episode 160 of his Masyanya cartoon from his site because it was critical of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Fortunately it is still available on YouTube in Russian with English subtitles. I’m not sure whether YouTube has been blocked in Russia.

Mr. Kuvaev moved to Israel a few years ago, so he’s not within easy reach of Putin’s secret police.

The title of this episode «Вакидзаси» is Russian for the Japanese wakizashi (脇差). That makes more sense at the end of the cartoon.
