So one of my teammates was standing next to me as we were watching our team warm up for the next round and she just looked at me and said

"you're so pretty" and I literally could have died from happiness right then and there, she's so sweet!

And after I said thanks she said "I just looked over and you're literally glowing. You're so pretty..." And like my heart melted

She's the sweetest thing oh my Lord I've never been told I'm "glowing" before

And as a person who almost NEVER feels pretty, that really made me feel good 🥺😭💖

Bow & Arrow choke: submission terindah di Brazilian Jiu Jitsu #MatTime

Di minggu pertama saya belajar Brazilian Jiu Jitsu kurang lebih 2 tahun yang lalu, saya terperangkap dalam kuncian yang namanya bow & arrow choke.

Ini benar-benar kuncian yang sangat cepat masuknya kalau eksekutornya sudah locked in. Tapi yang membuat saya benar-benar menyukai cekikan ini adalah bentuknya yang sangat indah.

Bentuk akhir cekikan ini sangat mirip dengan patung Pietà karya…

Jiu-Jitsu Tip of the Week

Consistency Is Key!  If you're new to BJJ, feeling frustrated and think you're not progressing, understand this...BJJ is an exceptionally dynamic art.  It takes many many hours on the mat, drilling moves countless times before they become second nature to any practitioner. It's no accident that certain people are able to tap you out time and time again.  They most likely have more mat hours under their belts.  No one walks into their first BJJ class and isn't immediately humbled.  So stick with it.  Show up to class, put in your hours on the mat, learn from your mistakes and you'll see your progress when the next new guy walks in the door.
